After their innovative debut as games on the CBeebies website, Tee and Mo premiered as a 50x7-minute animated TV series on CBeebies and our Canadian broadcast partner, TVO in March 2018.
Made by Plug-in Media (now under the Brighton Zoo umbrella) and our partners, Radical Sheep and Key Frame Animation in Ontario, the series follows the adventures of adventures of fun-loving 3-year old monkey, Tee, and first-time, super-mum, Mo, as they navigate the swings and roundabouts of their life together, learning what it takes to be a son and a mum.
Tee and Mo's route to market was as a digital first property on the CBeebies website and Youtube channel. This approach, where we created first games, then songs, then apps and then an album of music, enabled us to build an audience on multiple platforms before the brand finally hit traditional TV screens.
Five years on since the first series launched on CBeebies and the popularity of the show has continued, both in the UK and internationally. We're heartened by regular engagement on our social platforms, where we appreciate that the brand has a very loyal fanbase:
