The Brighton Zoo studio is located on the 8th floor of New England House, situated in central Brighton. New England House is a vibrant hub for a variety of creative businesses, from digital media companies to magazines, from french bakery to life drawing and ceramics. It’s also a quick ten minute walk from Brighton station, making for a smooth sailing commute…trains permitted of course!

FOOD
Best lunch spots
- The Open Market - head to Smorls for a vegan falafel feast or Sunbirds for a tasty mediterranean wrap. At the entrance to the market is also Pitta Nitta where you can get Turkish Pizza with feta and spinach for £4.00.
- Bangers - the secret pie shop tucked away behind London Road, renowned for its hearty and delicious pies at a great price.
- Kantenya - a Japanese supermarket with traditional handmade Japanese food & groceries, perfect for a ready made lunch on the go.
- Mexican - check out Casa Azul on London Road or Carlito Burrito for “life changing” fish tacos
DRINK
Best coffee
- Pelicano - head to their cosy rustic spot in Sydney street for the best selection of pastries in town
- Presuming Ed’s - coffee shop by day, bar by night, Presuming Ed’s sums up Brighton in a nutshell with its quirky interiors and delicious coffee. It’s also has a thrilling escape room upstairs!
- Down to Earth Coffee - found in the heart of North Laine, Down to Earth Coffee is known for it’s speciality coffee, nice people and delicious vegan donuts
- Black Mocha - another cosy spot in the centre of North Laine, Black Mocha does a variety of chocolate based drinks and tasty cakes.
- Bond Street Coffee - for incredibly tasty coffee - what do they put in those beans?!
Best pubs
- The Joker - right next door to the studio, the Joker is a firm favourite for Pub of the month trips, plus we have an exclusive 10% discount code on drinks!
- The World End - also minutes walk away from the studio, the World’s End is perfect for a post work pub trip as it also has a selection of retro arcade games, including a 10 seat remote control race track.
- The Great Eastern - a traditional pub on the edge of North Laine, The Great eastern is perfect for music lovers with vinyl DJs on fridays and saturday nights.
THINGS TO DO
- Take a trip to Brighton Beachfront - Walk, bus or cycle down to the seafront after work. Check out the funfair attractions on the pier or i360 viewpoint tower.
- Bimble through the Lanes - if you’re looking for a quirky birthday present or some new vintage jewellery, get lost in the streets of North Laine and work your way through the range of independent shops
- Visit the Royal Pavilion & gardens - Constructed as the seaside pleasure palace for George IV, the royal pavilion a must-see attraction surrounded by stunning gardens. Be sure to check out the ice skating rink at Christmas time.
- Check out Brighton Museum and Art Gallery - browse through a selection of historic works, from ancient egyptian canopic jars to Brighton and Hove’s variety of fine art pieces and vintage photographs
- Wander around Brighton’s parks - Brighton has a range of green spaces across the city; grab a coffee nearby at Preston or venture into the Sussex downs to take in the stunning views of Stanmer.
- Go to the Sea Lanes - take a dip in the National Open Water Swimming centre and head to the Bison Beer Bar afterwards for a pint on the stunning sea-view terrace.
